Restaurant Week has grown in popularity in cities across the nation wanting to draw attention to local eateries and their chefs, as well as offer a great deal for patrons. Howard County, MD, is no different. Restaurants in the county’s big cities and quaint towns alike participate in Howard County Restaurant Week held twice a year in mid-January and mid-July.
Part of the draw of restaurant week in any town is the special pricing. Many restaurants offer special pricing for lunch, dinner and on occasion brunch. Menus are generally priced from $15 – $45. You can easily select a restaurant for your budget by looking at the icons ranging from: 15 ($), $25 ($$), $35 ($$$) to $45 ($$$$). Lunches generally start at $15.
Howard County Restaurant Week is the perfect time to treat yourself to a delicious meal. Organized by Howard County Tourism & Promotion, both events include scores of restaurants, including popular and off-the-beaten-path eateries in Ellicott City, Columbia, Elkridge, Glenelg, Sykesville and more.
Restaurants representing a range of cuisines and a range of prices have participated in Howard County Restaurant Week, including these restaurants close to The Wayside Inn:
Alexandra’s at Turf Valley in Ellicott City is billed as an American fusion restaurant with a strong focus on farm-to-table fare.
Grille620 in Ellicott City, serves American specialties and has been voted the 3rd Best Steakhouse in Baltimore.
Kelsey’s Ellicott City is a family owned and operated restaurant offering traditional Irish fare. This neighborhood eatery was voted the Best Pub in Baltimore in 2015.
Tersiguel’s French Country Restaurant in Ellicott City opened in 1990. Tersiguels is a family owned and operated French restaurant featuring the creations of Chef Michael.
AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar in Columbia is an Italian restaurant with a focus on the farm-to-table concept, as well as pairing delicious wines with its offerings.
