Wineries Near The Wayside Inn

What is it about this time of year that makes one think of wine? Is it the chill in the air? Is it the sensual nature of the season with all its colors, sounds and tastes? We’ve got “wine on the mind” and, in addition to this post, added a recent post about the new Beaujolais Wines that debuted at Tersiguel’s Restaurant in Ellicott City.

If you’re as interested in wine as we are, we can recommend some excellent wineries near The Inn that we know you’ll love. One of David’s favorites is the Black Ankle Vineyards, located in Mt. Airy, Maryland. They have a wonderful tasting room and host “Fireside Fridays” every Friday from 6-9pm. These events entice you to “enjoy live music along with your favorite Black Ankle wines. Music is played either in the tasting room or in our patio area and accompanied by indoor our outdoor fires, depending on the weather. No reservations are necessary, just come on by to enjoy the evening!”
